Literature Text

Love: Love is a verb.
Love is a doing word.
And that fear lives on my breath.

Tears just stoke the fire
Of the broken and the dire.
The tool of a savior.

So where has that light gone?

Love: Love is a lie.
Love is an imperfect die.
It breaks as you find home.

Ever fleeting emotions
Smile inside what was stolen.
And all you did was hide.

And yet that flame still burns.

So savor the moments.
I'll catch you once you falter.
I'll transcend all your shelters.

But the pleasure's not my own.
You know, as I read this, I realized just how cryptic and misleading this is...

Anyway, I was listening to some of Renard's music, and I heard a line that I percieved as "Love is a verb. Love is a doing word." That got me thinking about my own crap, and so I improvised off of that.

I really don't know what kind of "poetry" this is. It's not free verse because it does have some structure. But it's not concrete because that structure falls apart at the end.

Meh. Whatevs...

And you know the irony? As I wrote that part about "love is a lie," the person I wrote that about messaged me...
